ZERO REGISTRATION & ANONYMOUS DEVICE IDENTIFICATION No Personal Accounts: To ensure a completely friction-free experience, SmartCart does not require any form of user registration, names, passwords, or emails. Local Storage: Your active shopping lists and personalized items are saved locally on Your own device using browser LocalStorage to compute your personal trip totals. Anonymous Telemetry: To measure application adoption during this pilot phase, the Application automatically generates an anonymous random identifier stored in your browser. This identifier tracks application initializations and session recurrence without ever linking back to your real-world identity. 2. CROWDSOURCED PRICING & AGGREGATED INTENT DATA Price Verification System: When you manually adjust the price of an official catalog product to match the store's shelf price, this specific price update is transmitted anonymously to our database. This feeds our collective verification system to update product costs for the community. Commercial and Aggregate Data: By using the Application, you grant SmartCart the right to collect, store, and utilize anonymous, non-personally identifiable data regarding product additions, shopping list trends, "In Cart" selections, and "Not Here" (out-of-stock) flags. This aggregate data contains absolutely zero personal tracking information and is used exclusively for statistical market research, application optimization, and retail supply-chain demand forecasting. Custom Items Privacy: Any custom item typed completely from scratch that does not belong to our official catalog remains private to your device's LocalStorage and is excluded from global database updates. 3. USAGE AND DIAGNOSTIC DATA Technical Maintenance: We automatically collect basic, anonymous diagnostic logs when you access the Application. This includes device type (e.g., iPhone or Android), operating system version, and general interaction timestamps.
