Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on Your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. 1. APPLICATION PURPOSE & LICENSE -------------------------------- * SmartCart provides a Progressive Web App (PWA) designed as a smart grocery calculator to help users manage shopping lists and estimate totals, including British Columbia tax rules (0% on basic groceries, 12% GST/PST on taxable items). * This application is provided to you for personal, non-commercial use completely free of charge during this MVP (Minimum Viable Product) validation phase. 2. NO USER REGISTRATION (LOCAL STORAGE) --------------------------------------- * The Service does not require account creation, email registration, or logins. * All personal shopping lists and custom entries are saved directly to your device's local storage. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your device. Clearing your browser cache or data will permanently erase your local application lists. 3. WALMART STORES & PRICE DISCLAIMER ------------------------------------ * The Service features product references for the official Walmart Supercentre locations in Surrey, BC (Surrey Central, Guildford, Newton, and South Surrey). * SmartCart is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, authorized, maintained, or endorsed by Walmart Canada. * While we strive to provide accurate estimates based on pre-loaded data and user updates, prices change frequently. SmartCart does not guarantee that the prices shown will exactly match the final register total at the physical store. 4. CROWDSOURCED PRICE CONTRIBUTIONS ----------------------------------- * By manually updating the price of an official catalog item within the app to match the store shelf, you contribute to our anonymous community verification system. * You agree not to intentionally submit false, misleading, or malicious price data. We reserve the right to block or ignore data submissions that manipulate the accuracy of the platform. 5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ------------------------ * The Application, including its original logo, design layouts, collective interface, BC tax calculation logic, and verification systems, is and will remain the exclusive property of SmartCart. 6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY -------------------------- * In no event shall SmartCart be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, budget discrepancies, grocery price variations, or loss of local device data resulting from your use of the application. 7. GOVERNING LAW ---------------- * These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. 8.
